Minister of Finance supports the development of VACPA 02/08/2012 16:41

Dr. Tran Van Ta, VACPA President reported to the Minister that during the past 7 years of operation, VACPA had put a lot of efforts to perform the tasks assigned by the Ministry of Finance in accordance with the Association’s mission and objectives.


To date, VACPA has approved membership of more than 1,300 members, with the majority are practising in independent auditing firms. The organizational structure of VACPA has been relatively complete with 6 specializing committees, 2 offices and a 21-member Board.



VACPA President shared that throughout it development process, together with the efforts of the Board members, the active support of the auditing firms and auditors, VACPA had owed much of its success to the attention and guidance of the Ministry of Finance.


In the context of the birth and effectiveness of the Law on Independent Auditing, VACPA has realized more opportunities as well as challenges to the development of the profession in general and the Association in particular and wished that the Ministry of Finance would provide continued support to help the Association fulfill its duties and discharge its responsibilities.


At the meeting, VACPA Board members and representatives of the related departments of the Ministry of Finance also discussed some proposals regarding the organization, functions and tasks of VACPA.


In his concluding statements, the Minister congratulated the successes of VACPA, particularly in performing the tasks authorized by the Ministry of Finance. With the view of full support, the Minister had assigned the related departments of the Ministry to scrutinize the proposals of VACPA to offer the best conditions to the Association’s operation and development. The Minister believed that in the future, VACPA would continue to unite members and develop stronger into a reputable professional organization, and support the Ministry in its state regulation.


The Minister emphasized that VACPA should report all the difficulties in its operation to the Ministry and the related departments and the Ministry of Finance would always support the development of VACPA.
