According to Decree No. 112/2021/ND-CP of the Government, Vietnamese enterprises operating in the service of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts (service enterprises) must deposit 2 billion dong at a bank, foreign bank branch legally established and operating in Vietnam.
For a service enterprise that assigns a branch to perform the service of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under a contract, an additional deposit of 500 million dong is required for each branch assigned to perform the task.
As for Vietnamese enterprises sending Vietnamese workers to train and improve professional qualifications and skills abroad, they must deposit at a bank; branches of foreign banks legally established and operating in Vietnam.
The deposit is equal to 10% of an economy-class air ticket from the workplace to Vietnam, based on the number of employees going to work abroad in the contract of accepting interns.
Regarding the ceiling deposit of employees, the Decree stipulates that service enterprises and employees shall agree on the bank receiving the deposit, the deposit; in which the deposit must not exceed the prescribed ceiling and must be clearly stated in the contract of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad.
Specifically, for the Taiwan market (China), all industries and occupations except seafarers of offshore fishing vessels and transport ships have a ceiling deposit of 12 million dong for employees; for the Korean market is 36 million.
The Decree comes into force from January 1, 2022.
