On November 19, 2021, the Medical Examination and Treatment Administration issued Official Letter 1492/KCB-PHCN&GD on the issuance of dossiers of application for settlement of social insurance benefits for employees.
According to the Official Dispatch, the Department of Medical Examination and the Ministry of Health has received Official Letter No. 2989/BHXH-CSXH about the dossiers and papers as a basis for receive social insurance benefits benefits for employees undergoing Covid treatment. -19.
In which, Vietnam Social Insurance mentioned that some medical facilities have issued certificates of leave to enjoy social insurance and other papers as a basis for employees to enjoy social insurance; appointing patients for outpatient treatment for more than 30 days for a medical examination and treatment not following the provisions of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT.
Therefore, to ensure the rights of employees and comply with regulations, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment proposes to implement the following contents:
– The issuance and management of the certificate of leave for social insurance shall comply with the provisions of Chapter IV and the forms specified in the Appendix of Circular No. 56/2017/TT-BYT;
– Once examined, the patient is granted a certificate of leave of absence receives social insurance benefits for a maximum of 30 days.
In case the patient needs to take a leave of absence longer than 30 days, when the leave period stated on the certificate of leave for social insurance benefits has been expired, the patient must conduct a follow-up examination for the practitioner to consider and decide.
– For dossiers and papers that do not follow the prescribed form, which is granted by medical examination and treatment establishments for employees to take an outpatient leave of more than 30 days for a medical examination and treatment and issue other papers that the social insurance Upon receipt, the Social Policy Department – Vietnam Social Insurance coordinated to direct the social insurance agencies of the provinces and centrally-run cities to guide the employees to complete the dossiers and consider and settle the social insurance benefits following the regulations. .
