Central Da Nang city is stepping up efforts to achieve 100% disbursement of its public investment budget by the end of 2026, with more than VND17.191 trillion ($654 million) allocated by the Prime Minister and over VND18.465 trillion ($702 million) approved by the municipal People’s Council.

The target is a key part of the city’s strategy to promote economic development and improve infrastructure.

By the end of September 2026, Da Nang had disbursed more than VND13.265 trillion, equivalent to 77.16% of the capital allocated by the Prime Minister and 71.84% of the plan approved by the municipal People’s Council, according to the city’s Department of Finance.

To achieve full disbursement, in line with regulations, the city has introduced a series of measures to accelerate project implementation. Priorities include resolving bottlenecks in investment procedures, site clearance and construction material supplies, while speeding up key projects across the city.

Major developments being closely monitored include the Lien Chieu Port container terminal, the cargo terminal and T2 passenger terminal at Da Nang International Airport, the Lang Van tourism and resort urban complex, Ba Na Complex, Danang Downtown and the Aeon Mall Da Nang Hoa Xuan shopping centre.

City authorities are urging investors and relevant agencies to expedite implementation and address obstacles to ensure projects progress on schedule and public investment funds are disbursed effectively.
