Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu – Member of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, delivering his remarks at the Conference on Introduction and Investment Promotion for IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park
IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 is expected to begin welcoming investors from the first quarter of 2027. Once fully occupied and operating stably, the project is expected to attract approximately USD 1.5 billion in total investment capital and create jobs for around 20,000 workers.
FROM THE GATEWAY TO THE MEKONG DELTA TO AN INTEGRATED CONSUMER MANUFACTURING HUB
Located at the gateway to the Mekong Delta, IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is oriented toward developing an integrated consumer manufacturing ecosystem, leveraging the region’s advantages in transportation connectivity, logistics, markets and raw material sources in Dong Thap.
In terms of connectivity, IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 is only approximately 3 km from an interchange connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway, providing links to Ho Chi Minh City and major economic centers in the Mekong Delta. It also connects with the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, expanding access to Long Thanh International Airport and the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port complex. The inland waterway port system within the industrial park also supports multimodal transportation and connects with the region’s river and maritime transport networks.
Its advantageous location and connectivity enable IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park to leverage the Mekong Delta’s raw material advantages and develop food manufacturing and processing industries associated with the region’s abundant agricultural and aquatic resources. At the same time, its capacity to accommodate textile and garment projects involving dyeing processes will facilitate the development of additional links in the supply chain, contributing to greater localization of production in the locality.

INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE TOWARD A SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL ECOSYSTEM
Technical infrastructure and essential services at IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will be directly operated by the developer, including a water supply plant, a wastewater treatment system meeting Column A standards, and a 110kV substation. These facilities will contribute to maintaining service stability and quality control throughout enterprises’ operations within the industrial park.
Technological solutions are also integrated into the operation of the industrial park, including the application of AI in environmental monitoring and security surveillance, enhancing the ability to monitor, issue alerts and control activities within the industrial park.
In addition to production infrastructure, IDICO has planned accommodation facilities for experts and workers within the industrial park, together with a social housing development of approximately 20 hectares adjacent to IDICO Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park. These facilities provide practical conditions for attracting and retaining human resources – a foundation for the sustainable development of businesses, the community and the local area.
This orientation is also consistent with the perspective shared by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu – Member of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee – at the Conference, emphasizing that industrial development should not stop at providing infrastructure for lease, but should aim to establish a high-quality, green and sustainable production ecosystem with high added value.
