27 Years of Affirming Its Pioneering Mission in Housing and Urban Development

Over 27 years of establishment and development since September 21, 1999, Hanoi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HANDICO) has established itself as one of the capital’s key enterprises in housing, urban development, and technical infrastructure. This nearly three-decade journey has not only been marked by remarkable growth in scale, with an organizational structure comprising more than 40 member companies, but has also demonstrated HANDICO’s pioneering role in achieving socio-economic development objectives and effectively preserving and growing state capital.

To date, HANDICO has completed more than 300 projects and construction works nationwide, with a total floor area exceeding 10 million square meters, placing it among the leading enterprises with annual production and business value exceeding VND 12 trillion.

In addition to impressive economic growth indicators, the HANDICO brand has also been reinforced through its sense of social responsibility, sustained commitment to the community, and orientation toward creating civilized and modern living spaces for Hanoi.

A Breakthrough Picture in 2026 and the Aspiration to Reach New Strategic Heights

2026 marks a period of strong transformation driven by innovative and decisive management thinking. This breakthrough is first reflected in the healthcare and social welfare sector, with pioneering initiatives focused on community health. The Hanoi Medical University Medical and Elderly Healthcare Complex Project in Hoang Mai Ward – described as “Vietnam’s first academic medicine and comprehensive healthcare model” – is being implemented. With a total investment of more than VND 14 trillion on an area of 9 hectares, the project is designed to create an internationally standardized ecosystem for education, medical examination and treatment, and residential care, contributing to easing pressure on the capital’s healthcare system and improving the quality of senior care for residents.

Following this ambitious development is the Bac Thang Long Urban City Multi-Purpose Urban Area – “A Multi-Purpose Mega Urban Area – A New Symbol of Development for the Capital.” Covering nearly 474 hectares with a total investment of approximately VND 100 trillion, the project aims to realize Hanoi’s 100-year master planning vision under the “city within a city” model. Bac Thang Long Urban City carries a dual mission: ensuring sustainable social welfare with more than 18,600 apartments, alongside 11,500 commercial apartments; while also creating a new symbol of development and opening a prosperous new era of growth for the capital.

Alongside these major projects, the social housing segment continues to bring the fulfillment of homeownership within reach through the Thang Long Green City Kim Chung Social Housing Project – “A Standout Development in the Social Housing Segment.” Featuring optimized Singapore-standard design and synchronized ecological infrastructure, its three 12-story buildings, comprising 1,104 apartments, are pioneering efforts to improve living standards for low-income residents in the capital.

In particular, the application of digitalization to the online lottery process for more than 3,600 applications clearly demonstrates HANDICO’s efforts to ensure openness, transparency, and equality for every customer. The happiness of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, and low-income residents upon officially signing their home purchase contracts is the greatest motivation for HANDICO to mobilize maximum resources and accelerate construction progress, enabling residents to receive their homes as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the commercial housing segment has marked a source of pride with the 3.10 Le Van Luong Handico Complex Project – “A Modern Accent in the Heart of the Urban Area.” The project is a prominent highlight in HANDICO’s diverse real estate portfolio, contributing to raising standards for high-quality living and working spaces. Just before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse 2026, HANDICO officially handed over 228 Handico Complex apartments to residents, fulfilling its commitment to the construction schedule and providing warm and comfortable homes at the western gateway of the capital.

HANDICO’s sustainable development orientation continues to demonstrate its pioneering approach through the premium senior living model at HANDICO RESIDENCE Complex at No. 5 Thanh Cong – “Comfortable Living – Complete Senior Care.” The project is designed to create a residential ecosystem integrated with comprehensive healthcare services, contributing to improving the quality of life for the community. The project is currently undergoing urgent final-stage completion and is scheduled to open in time for the upcoming anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day on October 10.

At the same time, HANDICO RIVERSIDE in Linh Nam Ward offers a desirable living environment – “A Green Living Space, Distinctive Value Inspired by Nature.” With a total investment of more than VND 1.4 trillion and comprising three 17-story buildings, the project provides nearly 600 high-quality commercial and social housing apartments. The project is preparing to launch sales, creating an ideal residential destination that offers seamless connectivity for families in the southeastern area of the capital.

Notably, 2026 has marked HANDICO’s strong strides toward international integration as the corporation continues to proactively strengthen strategic cooperation with leading reputable groups from South Korea and Japan. From design consulting and construction materials to operation and management, HANDICO has partnered with major brands such as HYUNDAI HT, Heerim, and Care 21 to integrate smart home solutions and develop internationally standardized senior living and care models.

The smart ecosystem is not limited to the premium segment, but is also being studied for flexible application across all product lines, from social housing to commercial housing. Proactively adopting modern technologies and advanced management expertise serves as a strategic lever for HANDICO’s transformation, helping optimize operations and prepare the corporation for new stages of development.

Alongside its major strategic projects, HANDICO’s spirit of public service and social responsibility is also reflected in socially meaningful projects that carry strong humanitarian value. A notable example is the completion of Minh Chau High School just before the start of the new academic year.

Under the direct direction of the leadership of the Hanoi Party Committee, HANDICO accelerated construction through a “three shifts, four teams” working model to turn the aspirations of residents of Minh Chau island commune – an isolated community situated at the confluence of three rivers – into reality. The project has helped local students put an end to the days of “crossing the river by ferry” to attend school and enabled them to study with peace of mind at a school right in their hometown.

Outstanding Business and Production Performance and the Aspiration to Reach Further

Alongside its key projects, HANDICO’s business and production performance in 2026 serves as clear evidence of its internal strength and strategic vision.

At the gathering marking the 27th anniversary of the Corporation’s establishment, HANDICO’s leadership shared its strong growth momentum and expressed confidence that the corporation could successfully “cross the finish line” with its 2026 business and production targets. Accordingly, total production and business value is estimated to exceed VND 14.13 trillion, revenue is expected to reach nearly VND 12.9 trillion, exceeding the annual plan by 7%, while state budget contributions are projected to exceed VND 1.2 trillion and profit is expected to surpass VND 2 trillion. The increase in charter capital and improvements in employees’ incomes further demonstrate the company’s strong financial capacity and enhanced position.

The projects gradually taking shape, together with the hectic pace of construction sites day and night, have woven a brilliant and proud 27-year journey. The HANDICO brand has been built on resilience, solidarity, and a commitment to creating sustainable human-centered values. On this solid foundation, HANDICO’s entire team of officials, employees, and workers is ready to accelerate toward new heights and continue working alongside Hanoi to build the future.
