The new prices take effect from 15:00 on October 8, 2026, and remain in effect until the next fuel price adjustment by the Inter-Ministerial Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance. The prices are published on Petrolimex's official website, petrolimex.com.vn, and by its member petroleum companies.

The fuel prices announced by Petrolimex in this press release apply throughout its distribution network in Vietnam, including: (a) Petrolimex petrol stations and small-scale fuel retail points using fuel dispensing equipment operated by Petrolimex; (b) petrol stations operated by traders acting as Petrolimex's agents or general agents for petroleum product sales; and (c) petrol stations operated by traders authorized to conduct retail sales under commercial franchise agreements with Petrolimex.

For areas located far from ports, major petroleum depots, and petroleum production facilities, as stipulated in Clause 27, Article 1 of the Government's Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 (hereinafter referred to by Petrolimex as “Region 2”), the General Director of Petrolimex authorizes the directors of its member petroleum companies to determine the actual selling prices in the areas where they operate, provided that such prices do not exceed the applicable Region 2 price ceilings.

This fuel price adjustment is made in accordance with National Assembly Resolution No. 19/2026/QH16 dated April 12, 2026, whose application period for environmental protection tax and value-added tax under Articles 1 and 2 was extended until September 30, 2026; the special consumption tax on gasoline, pursuant to the Law on Special Consumption Tax No. 66/2025/QH15 and its implementing documents, applicable from July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026; Government Resolution No. 55/NQ-CP dated March 19, 2026, amending and supplementing certain provisions of Government Resolution No. 36/NQ-CP dated March 6, 2026, on the Government's regular meeting for February 2026; National Assembly Resolution No. 204/2025/QH15 on value-added tax reduction, effective from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026; and Resolution No. 109/2025/UBTVQH15 dated October 17, 2025, of the National Assembly Standing Committee on environmental protection tax rates applicable to gasoline, oil, and lubricants, effective from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

The adjustment also reflects actual movements in global refined petroleum product prices during the price calculation period and complies with the pricing principles set out in Government Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP dated November 17, 2023, which amends and supplements certain provisions of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021, and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014, on petroleum trading, together with the implementing guidelines issued by the Inter-Ministerial Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance.
