Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/the Group; stock code: PLX) has proactively decided to set retail prices for petroleum products VND 300 per liter or kilogram below the levels determined under the current pricing mechanism. This decision will remain in effect at least until October 29, 2026, starting from the effective time of the October 15, 2026 fuel price adjustment. The reduction corresponds to the maximum standard profit margin included in the base price of petroleum products.

Petrolimex’s decision aims to ease some of the cost pressures facing consumers and businesses while supporting the Government’s efforts to stabilize the market, control prices, curb inflation and maintain macroeconomic stability.

Accordingly, following this price adjustment, Petrolimex’s retail fuel prices have been applied as of 3:00 p.m. on October 15, 2026, as follows:

Proactively Easing Cost Pressures on Consumers and Businesses

At the meeting of the Price Management Steering Committee on October 9, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang called on ministries, sectors and local authorities to continue close coordination and adopt proactive, flexible measures to control inflation, maintain macroeconomic stability and create room to support economic growth. The Government also called for the implementation of price management measures, ensuring supplies of essential goods and reducing input cost pressures on businesses and consumers.

In the energy sector, the Ministry of Industry and Trade was tasked with closely monitoring global petroleum price movements and managing domestic prices in accordance with regulations, while balancing inflation control, macroeconomic stability and supply security. The Ministry was also instructed to direct key petroleum trading enterprises to ensure adequate fuel supplies for production, business operations and consumption, preventing any supply disruptions.

Against this backdrop, Petrolimex’s proactive decision to reduce fuel prices by VND 300 per liter or kilogram represents a concrete measure to support consumers and the business community. It helps ease input cost pressures and contributes to the efforts of regulatory authorities to stabilize the overall price level during the final months of the year.

This action is consistent with the management approach maintained by Petrolimex’s leadership during periods of significant volatility in energy markets: The challenge is not merely to achieve business efficiency, but also to ensure uninterrupted energy supplies, thereby contributing to macroeconomic stability and market confidence.

Fuel Prices Reduced by VND 300 per Liter or Kilogram for 14 Days from the October 15, 2026 Price Adjustment

Petrolimex’s reduction of VND 300 per liter or kilogram took effect concurrently with the price adjustment under Official Dispatch No. 8480/BCT-TTTN dated October 15, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The reduction applies for 14 days from the October 15, 2026 fuel price adjustment.

The fuel prices announced by Petrolimex in this press release apply throughout its distribution network in Vietnam.

Decision No. 920/PLX-QĐ-TGĐ on fuel selling prices, dated October 15, 2026, was sent to Petrolimex’s member units and reported to the relevant state management authorities in accordance with regulations.

When issuing retail fuel price decisions for their respective distribution networks, Petrolimex’s member units must submit the decisions to the relevant provincial or municipal Departments of Industry and Trade and to the Group for reporting purposes.

Under Official Dispatch No. 8480/BCT-TTTN dated October 15, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on petroleum trading management, the rates for contributions to and disbursements from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund (BOG), effective from 3:00 p.m., are as follows:
