Accordingly, the department has conducted four audits under the second phase of its 2026 audit program and two additional audits, ensuring quality and timely completion. It has also prepared and submitted complete audit results within the prescribed deadlines and consolidated the findings to prepare draft audit reports for review and approval by SAV leadership in accordance with regulations. To date, four audit reports from the second phase of 2026 have been issued.
As of the end of September, Specialized Audit Department V had audited the 2025 financial statements and activities related to the management and use of state capital and assets, as well as the thematic review of investment in technological innovation and digital transformation at state-owned groups and corporations during 2023–2025, at Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation and Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group. It had also audited the 2025 financial statements and related activities concerning the management and use of state capital and assets at Vietnam Forestry Corporation and Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation; audited the equitization settlement dossier of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited; and assessed the investment efficiency of three public investment projects.
In addition, the department is conducting three audits under decisions issued by the State Auditor General. These include an audit of the 2025 financial statements and activities related to the management and use of state capital and assets at Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation; an audit assessing the investment efficiency of the project to build a coal-based urea fertilizer plant with a capacity of 1,760 tons of urea per day (560,000 tons per year); and a thematic audit of investment in technological innovation and digital transformation at state-owned groups and corporations during 2023–2025 at Vietnam Post Corporation.
Speaking to Audit Newspaper, leaders of Specialized Audit Department V said that, in accordance with the State Auditor General's direction to prepare for audits at an early stage, the department is collecting and analyzing information and documents provided by relevant entities to develop its 2027 Audit Plan and medium-term Audit Plan for 2027–2029, while also preparing for their implementation.

Recognizing the important role of quality control within audit teams and audit groups, the department continues to strengthen audit quality control and ensure that quality control reports are submitted fully and promptly within the prescribed deadlines.
At the same time, it continues to review, monitor, and urge audited entities and relevant organizations and individuals to implement audit recommendations issued in 2025 and previous years. The department also conducts inspections of the implementation of audit conclusions and recommendations and reports the results within the required time limits.
With the end of 2026 approaching rapidly, and based on its achievements, identified challenges, and proposed solutions, Specialized Audit Department V will intensify its efforts to complete all remaining assignments under the approved plan, as well as any additional tasks assigned by the State Auditor General.
In particular, the department will finalize the results of two additional audits, seek feedback from the audited entities, and formally notify them of the findings. It will then complete the audit reports and submit them to SAV leadership for authorization to issue them in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
For the three ongoing audits and one audit scheduled to commence, the department will ensure strict management and implementation in line with the approved plans. It will monitor progress and consolidate reports on audit results and implementation status for SAV leadership. The department will also compile audit findings, prepare draft audit reports for review and approval by SAV leadership, seek comments from the audited entities, formally communicate the results, and finalize the reports for issuance in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
In addition, department leaders stated that they would continue urging the implementation of outstanding recommendations from 2025 and previous years, and establish inspection teams to conduct on-site checks depending on the implementation status reported by the relevant entities.
