On October 9, 2026, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China, Railway Transport Joint Stock Company (TRARAVICO) signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Hebei Inland Port Group and China Railway Container Transport International ASEAN Logistics Co., Ltd. (ASEAN–CRCT).

The agreement aims to leverage the strengths of all three parties, strengthen international rail freight connectivity, and develop cross-border container transport and logistics services. It is expected to help expand freight transport cooperation between Vietnam, China, ASEAN, and international markets.

Under the agreement, the three parties will focus on several key areas of cooperation, including developing rail-based cold-chain transport, particularly for fruit shipments from Vietnam’s southern provinces and Central Highlands to China; strengthening international cargo connections and coordinating the transportation of goods from China to Vietnam, as well as shipments to third countries; expanding logistics services covering rail transport, customs clearance, short-haul transportation, and refrigerated container operations; and gradually developing a multimodal transport corridor connecting North China through Vietnam to ASEAN, while extending connectivity to European markets.

The signing of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement marks a further step in TRARAVICO’s efforts to expand its international partnerships. It establishes a foundation for the parties to translate their cooperation into specific programs, make effective use of their resources, and improve the quality of freight transport services.

With its focus on proactive connectivity, market expansion, and logistics service development, TRARAVICO continues to underscore the role of rail transport in supply chains, contributing to regional trade and stronger freight transport links across the region.
