Attending the ceremony from Quang Ninh City were Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council; Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies. General Director Vũ Anh Tuấn acknowledges and commends the project owner and relevant units for their efforts to complete the project and assigns Hon Gai Coal Preparation Company to safely and efficiently manage, operate and utilize the facility.
Reporting at the ceremony, Pham Hong Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Hon Gai Coal Preparation Company – Vinacomin, said that the Nui Beo – Ha Tu – Processing Center – Lang Khanh coal transportation conveyor system has a total length of nearly 8.9 km, a designed capacity of 1.8–4.2 million tonnes of coal per year and a total investment of more than VND 761 billion. The project connects the Nui Beo and Ha Tu mines with the Processing Center and centralized coal storage facility in the Hon Gai area before transporting coal to Lang Khanh Port, forming a closed, synchronized and modern coal transportation system.
Implemented under complex terrain conditions, the project required the completion of numerous procedures related to planning, environmental protection, land, site clearance, as well as stringent technical and safety requirements. However, with the close direction of Vinacomin, the support and facilitation of city leaders and relevant departments and agencies, and the efforts of the project owner and contractors, the project was completed and put into operation as planned.
The Nui Beo – Ha Tu – Processing Center and Centralized Coal Storage Facility in the Hon Gai Area – Lang Khanh coal transportation conveyor system is equipped with advanced technologies, including an automated centralized control system, smart AI camera-based operational monitoring, and multi-level incident warning and safety protection systems. The drive equipment uses energy-saving technology, ensuring stable operation and high reliability while meeting the requirements for continuous transportation of large coal volumes. At the same time, the system helps minimize dust, noise and environmental impacts in the surrounding area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vũ Anh Tuấn, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Members' Council and General Director of the Group, emphasized that, in implementing the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam under Conclusion No. 136 dated August 5, 2026, together with a sustainable development strategy centered on environmental protection, Vinacomin has consistently affirmed its role as a key state-owned economic group and pursued production and business activities in parallel with environmental protection throughout its development.
The Nui Beo – Ha Tu – Processing Center – Lang Khanh conveyor system is a key project of significant importance to the modernization of coal transportation, processing and consumption in the Hon Gai area. It also demonstrates Vinacomin's commitment to accelerating the development of science and technology, digital transformation and green transformation, while integrating production and business activities with environmental protection responsibilities, in line with Quang Ninh City's orientation toward green and sustainable development.
General Director Vũ Anh Tuấn acknowledged and commended the project owner, the Group's specialized departments, contractors and relevant units for overcoming difficulties and challenges and making every effort to complete the project. He noted that the achievement not only fulfills the task assigned by the Group but also demonstrates the resilience and determination of Vinacomin's mine workers in overcoming challenges.
General Director Vũ Anh Tuấn requested Hon Gai Coal Preparation Company – Vinacomin to safely and efficiently manage, operate and utilize the project, maximize its designed capacity, and strictly control technical, safety and environmental requirements. Coal production units in the Hon Gai area were also asked to proactively coordinate in production management and operations and maximize the effectiveness of the investment.
